A Little More About ME

Born in Nürnberg, Germany, Maureen was raised in Berlin where she discovered her love of all things artistic! She has also lived in Raleigh, NC; Sidney, OH; Natchitoches, LA; Euless and Huntsville, TX; and currently resides in Chicago, IL.

Maureen’s passion for pursuing artistic endeavors, and just creating new things stretches from dance to stage combat, acting to set construction, stage to screen and everything in between!

Prior to moving to Chicago Maureen received, completely by accident, an AA in General Studies with a concentration in Vocal Performance from Northwestern State University and then, 100% on purpose, a BFA in Musical Theatre from Sam Houston State University.

Maureen moved to Chicago to attend her dream* conservatory: The Theatre School at DePaul University where she graduated with an MFA in Acting! While at TTS she was seen as Sarah Jane Moore in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins (directed by the late Lavina Jadhwani RIP my dear friend “Your side is my side.”), Isobel in Mike Bartlett’s BULL (directed by Jacob Stanton), Thea in Duncan Sheik’s Spring Awakening (directed by Damon Kiely), and Col. George Latimer in Greg Allen’s original work: What Happened in Pinkville? A Cubist Dialectic on the Massacre of My Lai (directed by James Bohnen), among others.

Through the years, her desire to be her very best took her to a few different performance intensives such as the Columbia Gorge School of Theatre (CGST), back when it was still in White Salmon, WA. She was also lucky enough to attend the Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) where she got the opportunity to work and study with some of the all-time greats! Ben Vereen, Terrance Mann, Patrick Wilson, Frank Wildhorn, Diedre Goodwin, Susan Blackwell, Susan Misner, Valentine Meyer, and the incomparable Nancy Dussault. Her final summer program was The Performing Arts Project (TPAP) where she one day hopes to teach.

When not acting Maureen can be found crocheting, hand lettering, sewing, diamond painting, mixing up new cocktails, engaging in solo dance parties, singing at the top of her lungs, reading scripts her mom sent her, diving into books she’s owned for years and never read, working on her Front-End Engineering certification, refreshing her French, and teaching herself Irish, and Italian.

She also happens to still be fluent in German. Even after all these years…
